My situation:

Windows Vista
Apache 2
PHP 5.3
ImageMagick 6.6.3 Q16

ImageMagick works through the command line, but fails from PHP

phpinfo does not show the Imagick extension.

When attempting to instance through PHP:
Fatal error: Class ‘Imagick’ not found

I’ve tried multiple DLLs, most recently the one you linked above. These two lines are in php.ini:
extension=php_imagick.dll
extension=php_imagick_ts.dll

(I know I should only need one, but am trying anything at this point)

php.ini extension dir is:
extension_dir=”C:\PHP\ext”

both dlls exists in C:\PHP\ext

added environment variable to apache, which shows up via phpinfo as:
_SERVER["MAGICK_HOME"] C:/ImageMagick

C:/ImageMagick is the correct installation directory

phpinfo show configuration file as:
C:\PHP\php.ini

this is the correct configuration file, and the file that reflects the edits mentioned above.

if anyone can find a moment to take a look and possibly offer a solution or point out something i may not have tried, i’d be very grateful.

j’ai aussi un problème pour installer imagemagick avec xampp sous windows xp. pourtant j’ai suivi plusieurs tutos trouvés sur la toile et aucuns ne semblent fonctionner.
en résumé, après avoir téléchargé le .exe et la dll et après avoir modifié php.ini et httpd.conf j’ai un message m’indiquant soit qu’il ne trouve pas la dll soit que c’est pas une application win32 valide.

I also have a problem with imagemagick install xampp on windows xp. Yet I have followed several tutorials found on the web and some people may not seem to work.
In summary, after downloading the. exe and dll and after editing php.ini and httpd.conf I have a message stating either that it does not find the dll that is not a valid win32 application .

I’m running (or trying to run) Windows 2008 R2 (x64), Apache 2.2.15 (VC9 x64) and PHP 5.3.2 (VC9 x64), but I can’t get Apache to start up with php_imagick_ts.dll enabled.

I’ve tried both ImageMagick-6.6.3-0-Q16-windows-dll.exe and ImageMagick-6.6.3-0-Q16-windows-x64-dll.exe

Everything works fine if I use 32bit versions of every software but I’d rather use the 64bit versions.

Imagick version: 6.6.2-4-Q16
PHP Version: 5.3.0 vc6 – came with wampserver 2.0
Apache Version: 2.2.11 vc6 – came with wampserver 2.0

im not 100% sure but i think the problem could be Imagemagick, as i have a feeling its a VC9 compile

Nothing works, I’ve tested Magick it is installed properly but the when I start the Apache it throws up the following error every time.
Don’t know what is exactly wrong, any help / hints appreciated.

Is there an equivalent for Gmagick? Simply resampling is not going to work because the larger image will be grainy.

Also… is it possible to run both Gmagick and Imagick at the same time as Apache modules? I’m thinking this not possible because the names of the dlls are the same.
